2021 NWSL Challenge Cup

The 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup was a league cup tournament that took place during the 2021 season. It began on April 9 and ended May 8, one week before the start of the regular season. It was the second iteration of the NWSL Challenge Cup tournament, which had started in 2020.

A logo, identity system, stadium graphics, broadcast graphics package and social graphics package were created for the tournament.

Logo Design

The 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup logo was inspired by the shape of the championship trophy and the spirit and perseverance of the players in the National Women’s Soccer League.

Social Posts

Social media graphics/videos were posted throughout the Challenge Cup to excite fans and provide game information. Creative around the Challenge Cup focused on the excitement of the West division vs the East division, leading up to the Championship. Graphics were updated in real time during Challenge Cup matches with live photography.
